Dear Families,

It’s hard to believe March is coming to an end this week! We remain in the season of Lent and we are preparing for Easter to celebrate our Risen Lord. The readings for the 5th Sunday of Lent remind us of the importance of our faith, the promise of God’s mercy and forgiveness, and the compassion and empathy that Jesus shows towards others.

Benjamin’s Box: The Story of the Resurrection Eggs

Benjamin's Box | RC Diocese of Prince Albert

In each classroom, the book, Benjamin’s Box: The Story of the Resurrection Eggs will be shared as a way for our students to learn more about the Easter Story as we continue on our Lenten journey – following Jesus as He shows mercy, forgiveness, hope and love.  Let’s shine the light of our faith, Stars!

Story Summary: When Jesus comes to Jerusalem, Benjamin first thinks he is a teacher, then a king. But as he follows Jesus throughout the week,  filling his wooden box with special treasures along the way, he finally learns the REAL good news—Jesus is all about love!

Spring Field Conditions

With the warmer temperatures and the snow melting, the field conditions at school are currently very muddy. For recess, this means that, at times, our students will be asked to stay off the fields and play on the blacktop. We monitor the fields each day to make these decisions. A reminder that all students must have a pair of indoor shoes at school to change into. If available, we would also suggest students bring splash pants and boots…some of us are drawn to puddles! Thank you.
