Important Notice: Strike Cancelled

The Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association (OECTA) has cancelled rotating strikes scheduled for next week. As a result, all WCDSB schools will be open and running on their regular schedules on Monday, February 24, 2020.

Reminder about Strike Days

Just a reminder that there will be NO SCHOOL on Friday, February 21st and Monday, February 24th due to the ongoing labour negotiations. We will see all our Stars back on Tuesday!

Shrove Tuesday. February 25, 2020

As we prepare for our Lenten journey, we’re celebrating Shrove Tuesday with pancakes on Tuesday February 25.

The school will provide every student with a pancake and syrup.  Please bring a reusable fork from home for eating the pancake, so we can be good stewards of God’s creation by reducing our waste.

Pink Shirt Day – February 26th Let’s stop bullying

From its humble beginnings in 2007 in small-town Nova Scotia, Pink Shirt Day has spread across the globe as a way to take a stand against bullying and to show support for those who have been affected by it in schools, workplaces, homes, and online.  Last year alone, people in almost 180 countries shared their support of Pink Shirt Day through social media posts and donations.

On February 26, 2020, we encourage everyone at the Waterloo Catholic District School Board to practice kindness and wear pink to school or work to symbolize that you do not tolerate bullying. The focus for 2020 is “lift each other up.”
